Advisory bodies as boundary organizations – Evidence from a European comparative study of education councils


This paper is published at the occasion of the first Conference on Public Policy in Grenoble, 26-28 June 2013. In this paper national and regional advisory bodies in the field of education policy are discussed. Empirical data is drawn from recent comparative research on education councils in Europe (Brans, Van Damme, & Gaskell, 2010; Van Damme, Brans, & Fobé, 2011).
