This Recommendation on 'promoting automatic mutual recognition of higher education and upper secondary education and training qualifications and the outcomes of learning periods abroad'is intended to ensure that any higher education and upper secondary education diplomas and the results of learning periods spent abroad that are awarded by an accredited institution within the Union are automatically recognised for the purposes of further learning in all Member States by 2025.
