In 2023-24 members of EUNEC meet on a monthly base to exchange on teachers. Regional, national, European and international organisations are all putting this topic as priority on the agenda.
All over the world the teaching profession is facing challenges. As a result, it became a major topic in policy advising and thus education councils are exploring ways of contributing to this debate.
This led to the organisation of monthly exchanges between the members of EUNEC. Members will present their advisory work on the topic, providing different angles.
Presenting councils are:
- Irish Teaching Council on "Teacher Workforce Planning: The Irish Experience"
- Dutch Education Council on "Scarcity grinds: An exploration of options for addressing continuing teacher shortages"
- Moroccan Education Council "Teaching supply and the challenge of quality of education in Morocco"
- Flemish Education Council on "Participatory project 'the teacher profession'"
- Portuguese Education Council on "professional development of teachers"
- Education Council of Quebec on "The different pathways to the teaching profession in Quebec"
