Europe 2020, a European strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth

On 3 March 2010 the European Commission published its Communication on Europe 2020, a strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. The Commission is proposing five measurable targets for 2020 that will steer the process and that will be translated into national targets: for employment, for research and innovation; for climate change and energy; for education; for combating poverty.
